Ever since the beginning of time, male dominance has taken subordination of all humanity. Women for centuries commit been treated with little respect and in some ways we can consider women house slaves. In one particular time in history, being a prude young lady was something that you never wanted to experience. It was a time of tragic, misery and in some cases, abuse. Your husband was unceasingly right; your duties were to cleanse him of all his sins. Being a puritan wife was a lot to handle; you must be the perfect wife, even if you were non treated with the same respect. Puritans had inexorable religious discipline, and followed the rules of the England church.

It was said that women were to produce children and be a heavy(p) mom, but in the end, the husband would have the authority over the children. Men praised the patient endurance of wives with abusive husbands to me, puritans really did not go by the bible because stated in the word of the lord he says, Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them, Colossians 3:19.
