Violence in the workplace is a threat against an employee and blow over at work, or outside of
work. Threats can range from verbal malignment to fleshly assaults and even homicide. Violence in

are the targets of the violence and the assault happens at work. Most assaults that nurses have to
deal with are not fatal, but they are aggressive, harassment, bullying, and intimidation. Nurses
deal with these types of assaults from patients, patients family members, and other staff. Nurses
do not report the violence if no visible injury has occurred. The Joint Commissions Sentinel
Event peppy warns that health care facilities are being confronted with steadily change magnitude rates
