Individual vs. The State in History
The individual and the state run through been battling since the beginning of time. Martin Luther experienced struggles with sharing his ideas to the Church. Ferdinand Magellan experienced great struggles with magnate Manuel of Portugal. Later, Joan of Arc was captured from France and her rights were oppressed. These three people had their individuality stolen. They fought for there rights, and came start with the larger victory than the state. Their victory resulted from the great impact they had on the modern homo.
Martin Luther was born on November 10, 1483 in Eisleben in the sanctum Roman Empire. This is where modern day Eastern Germany is today. Martin Luther was a monk, priest, professor, theologian, and church service reformer. Although he accomplished all of this in his lifetime, this did not pose easy to him. He received his Doctor of Theology degree. When he was there he had trouble finding assurance. He transferred to the Monastery in Wittenberg in 1511. At the University of Wittenberg he became a Professor of Biblical Theology. Martin Luther finally entrap respect when he gave lectures on Psalms and critiqued the Theological world around him. In 1517 Luther wrote Ninety-Five Theses critiquing the churches, and telling them to end the cut-rate sale of indulgences. He posted them in a church in Wittenberg. He wrote it in Latin, but it was soon translated into German and it began circulating. The pope found out about it and assumed because he was a monk that it was garbage.
